Commitment and Requirements

Time Commitment & Duration

Approximately 10-15 hours per week during Fall/Winter (December 2024 - March 2025), with the possibility of extension.

Location

This writing internship is 100% remote, with possibility of in-person meetings and opportunities (Las Vegas).

    No, this is a volunteer, unpaid writing internship. The focus is on providing educational experience, skill development, and real-world exposure to digital media and publishing.

  • What is the expected time commitment?

    We expect interns to commit approximately 10-15 hours per week. However, we offer flexibility to accommodate your schedule.

  • Do I need prior experience in writing or editing?

    While prior experience is beneficial, it's not required. We're looking for individuals with a demonstrated interest in writing and storytelling, a passion for our mission, and a willingness to learn.

    Yes! This is a remote position, so you can work from anywhere with a reliable internet connection.

  • What kind of training or mentorship will I receive?

    Interns will receive mentorship from experienced writers and editors, participate in virtual meetings, and have access to training resources to enhance their skills.

    You'll need a computer with internet access. Familiarity with collaboration tools like Google Docs or Notion is helpful. Experience with AI tools like ChatGPT is a plus but not required.

  • Can this internship count toward academic credit?

    We are willing to work with your educational institution to meet any requirements for academic credit. Please let us know, and we'll be happy to assist.
