This free program has provided technical assistance to San Francisco businesses for many years, all to create jobs and income for low- and moderate-income residents of the city. The program provides a comprehensive array of services that ensure clients develop the core competencies necessary to start, manage and expand a business. Services are offered through English and Spanish language workshops and one-on-one consultations. 

The Latino Business Academy is, by far, LBFSV’s most popular program.  In a collaborative partnership with My Own Business Institute (MOBI) of Santa Clara University, LBFSV offers a dynamic online training program specifically designed to empower and inspire aspiring immigrant entrepreneurs and ambitious business leaders. This offering addresses gaps in management skills by equipping members with the business acumen needed for success.

This fully online course progresses at the pace of each participant's performance, offered in both English and Spanish.

Federal contracting and training program for experienced small business owners who are socially and economically disadvantaged.

The 8(a) program can be a valuable tool for experienced socially and economically disadvantaged small business owners, who have already been in business for at least two years or more, and are interested in expanding their footprint in the federal marketplace. The 8(a) program offers unique and valuable business assistance. The 8(a) certification does not guarantee contract awards but it is a dynamic tool to pursue and capture new opportunity from the government.
